At the end of the year, we were delighted to receive an early Christmas surprise: the approval notice for our sub-project, "Automated Sample Preparation for Material Characterization," dated December 9, 2024. This initiative is part of the collaborative project "Glass Synthesis in the Digital Age (GlasAgent)." We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. U. Fotheringham from Schott AG for coordinating this ambitious project and look forward to a productive cooperation with all involved partners.

From November 6 to 8, the 7th Annual Iberian Robotics Conference – Robot 2024 – took place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Dr. Gert Alfred Eberlein arbeitete als Gastprofessor am IAT und dem in Gründung befindlichen Center for Life Science Automation. Heute vor 20 Jahren starb er in Kalifornien - an einer Krankheit für die er versuchte, Medikamente und Behandlungsmethoden zu entwickeln. Unser Kollege Gert Eberlein und sein unermüdliches Wirken werden uns für immer in Erinnerung bleiben.
